Granted, there are few games out there as frustrating as the Rubik’s Cube, but it still helps pass the time.We like this program for its simple yet effective design. All you have to do is shake your iPhone unit to scramble the colors. You can also change the zoom with two fingers, thanks to the tactile screen of the iPhone.To spin the cube all you have to do is point and slide. It’s a little trippy to see the game in action, which would hopefully prevent you from throwing your innocent iPhone if you fail to put all the colors back together.To download the game, look for the iSpazio Dev category in your installer.

WWE superstars and divas participate in a single-elimination video game tournament using WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 for Xbox 360. WWE’s ECW star Elijah Burke won last year’s competition during WrestleMania 23 Week in Detroit.

Orlando bracket:Raw: Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton; Carlito vs. Santino Marella. SmackDown: Finlay vs. MVP; Matt Hardy vs. Rey Mysterio. WWE’s ECW: CM Punk vs. defending champ Elijah Burke; Kofi Kingston vs. Tommy Dreamer. Divas: Beth Phoenix vs. Michelle McCool; Layla vs. Ashley.

The event also features four finalists from Europe and North America who will compete for two WrestleMania floor seats.

For legal reasons the open source version was renamed Micropolis, which was apparently the original working title. The OLPC will also be getting a SimCity branded version that has been QA’ed by Electronic Arts. Some very cool changes have been made by Don Hopkins, who updated and ported what is now Micropolis. (Here is an earlier Slashdot discussion kicked off by a submission Don made.) Among other things, it has been revamped from the original C to using C++ with Python. I just came across a news that amazed me. It was great to read about a teacher who designed a teaching plan that is loved by students and the parents. Giancarlos Alvarado an elementary school teacher in Trenton, NJ has taken a totally different approach in his 5th grade classroom. His way is to have his class create its own video game, named Earthquake Terror: After Shock.
